Abstract:
To make compatible both the securement of seal performance between a large-diameter fixed part of a resin-made CVJ boot which is assembled with a grommet interposed therein and the grommet, and the securement of the attachment performance of a boot band in the large-diameter fixed part.SOLUTION: A resin-made CVJ boot comprises: a synthetic resin-made boot main body 1 having a large-diameter fixed part 3 having a circular internal peripheral face 16 and a circular external peripheral face 17 attached to an outer ring which forms a non-circular contour of a universal joint, a small-diameter fixed part attached to a shaft, and a bellows part for connecting the large-diameter fixed part and the small-diameter fixed part; and at least either of an annular groove 8 and/or 9 which is assembled between a joint outer ring and the large-diameter fixed part 3, formed into a circular shape in which an external peripheral shape is internally fit to the large-diameter fixed part 3, also in which an internal peripheral shape is formed by combining a contour of the outer ring and a grommet 2 having a non-circular shape, and which goes around either of or both an external peripheral face 12 of the grommet 2 opposing a non-irregular internal peripheral face 16 of the large-diameter fixed part 3, and an internal peripheral face 13 of the grommet 2 opposing the external peripheral face of the joint outer ring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
