PURPOSE: To sufficiently and quickly spread an air bag over the wide temperature range from an extremely low temperature to a high temperature by using a resin having prescribed values of physical properties for my the thermoplastic polyurethane resin air bag.
CONSTITUTION: Peripheral edge sections of a circular front panel and a rear panel having an opening for inserting an inflator at the center are fused to form an air bag for a driver's seat. The thermoplastic polyurethane resin film constituting both panels is measured by the test method shown in the table, and the values of physical properties shown in the table are obtained. The thermoplastic polyurethane resin air bag capable of sufficiently protecting an occupant over the range of -40°C through 100° C from an extremely low temperature to a high temperature can be provided.
