Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a resin blend comprising a crystalline polypropylene polymer, a specific random styrenic copolymer and a specific functionalized elastomer, the blend having good compatibility and excellent impact resistance and heat resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This resin blend comprises (A) 25-80 wt.% (hereinafter '%') crystalline polypropylene, (B) 5-40% random styrenic copolymer consisting of B1: 50-99.5% vinylaromatic monomer (suitably styrene), B2: 0.5-30% α,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride (suitably maleic anhydride) and, optionaly, B3: 5-40% random styrenic copolymer consisting of not more than 40% monomer selected from an unsaturated nitrile and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (ester, imide) and (C) a functionalized elastomer consisting of C1: a base elastic polymer (a random copolymer composed of ethylene and a 3-6C α-olefin and, optionally, a diene, a conjugated diene polymer, etc.), and C2: at least one pendant active hydrogen-containing group selected from an amino group and an OH group.
