To provide a photographic resin coated paper which has higher smoothness, whiteness, covering property for the base, resistance against light or changes in colors, resistance against weather and changes in colors, etc., than a conventional paper and can improve the picture quality of the layer to be formed on its surface, by using a master batch containing titanium oxide which has good dispersibility and hydrophobicity and produces little water content during a high temp. process.
This photographic resin coated paper is produced by a melt extrusion method to laminate a polyolefin resin compsn. on a paper or synthetic paper base body. The polyolefin resin compsn. is prepared by using a polyolefin resin (2) and the master batch described below. The master batch contains a polyolefin resin and titanium oxide containing 0.02 to 21.0wt.% Al and treated with calcium salt by 0.01-0.5wt.% calculated as calcium oxide and has ≤1200ppm water content which can volatilize at 280 to 350°C.
