To obtain a resin composition which can markedly reduce the rusting of copper when the copper is coated therewith by incorporating a resin, a copper inhibitor and/or an antistatic agent, and a hydrotalcite in a specified ratio.
This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. resin such as a polyolefin resin, 0.05-3 pts.wt. copper inhibitor and/or antistatic agent, 0.01-5 pts.wt. hydrotalcite, and 0.5-30 pts.wt. flame retardant. The copper inhibitor is exemplified by a salicylic acid derivative such as 3-(N-salicyloyl)amino-1,2,4-triazole, an oxalic acid derivative, or a hydrazide derivative. The antistatic agent is exemplified by an anioni, cationic, amphoteric, or nonionic surfactant. The hydrotalcite is a natural or synthetic product such as Mg6Al2(OH)3CO34H2O. The flame retardant is exemplified by an organic flame retardant such as a brominated bisphenol A derivative or an inorganic flame retardant such as tricresyl phosphate, antimony trioxide, or aluminum hydroxide.
