To provide a resin composition for fiber reinforcement more excellent in low- temperature curability, impregnating properties, adhesion to a fiber, impact resistance and surface drying properties and emitting less offensive odor therefore permitting better working environment than a conventionally employed thermosetting resin in reinforcement and repair of a concrete structure, a fiber-reinforced resin and a method for reinforcing and repairing a concrete structure using the resin composition for fiber reinforcement.
The resin composition for fiber reinforcement comprises (a) an epoxy acrylate obtained by a reaction of an epoxy compound with (meth)acrylic acid, (b) a copolymerizable monomer, (c) an organic peroxide and (d) a tertiary amine compound and/or a cobalt salt of an organic acid, and the fiber-reinforced resin is obtained by compounding the resin composition for fiber reinforcement and a fiber-reinforcing material. The effective method for reinforcing and repairing a concrete structure comprises steps of sanding the surface of a concrete structure, surface-treating with a primer, subsequently applying an irregular surface-correcting agent comprising the resin composition for fiber reinforcement, plastering a fiber reinforcing material thereon, impregnating the fiber-reinforcing material with the resin composition for fiber reinforcement, effecting cure and applying a topcoat.
