Abstract:

To provide a resin composition having an excellent balance between mechanical strength and heat resistance and excellent flame retardance, to provide a method for producing the same and to provide a molded article.

The resin composition comprises (A) a polyphenylene ether, and (B) a liquid crystal polyester, wherein the component (A) forms a dispersed phase, the component (B) forms a continuous phase and a part of the component (B) exists in the component (A). Preferably, a part or all of the component (B) has a melting point peak of 300C.
