This resin composition includes a phthalocyanine compound and a resin, wherein a central metal of the phthalocyanine skelton is vanadyl (VO), and specific substituents are introduced into the phthalocyanine compound. The resulting resin composition has an excellent heat-absorbing effect. The resin composition can be used as a heat-absorbing material by forming a coating film or a molded product.
