To obtain a resin composition which, when laminated on an extensible substrate, is useful for an ink image accepting sheet in, e.g. an ink jet printing system and to obtain the ink image accepting sheet being excellent in ink absorptivity, water resistance, and printability and not suffering from image crazing due to extension.
There are provided a resin composition comprising a copolymer of a monomer represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2, which may be the same or different from each other, are each hydrogen or methyl; (j) is an integer of 1-6; (k) is an integer of 1-10; (m) is an integer of 2-12; (n) is an integer of 1-20; and R2 groups may be different from each other when (j) is not 1) with at least one monomer selected among cationic-functional-group-containing monomers, crosslinking monomers, and hydrophilic monomers and an ink image accepting sheet prepared by forming an ink image accepting layer comprising a polymer essentially consisting of units of a monomer represented by the formula on at least either surface of a substrate.
