To provide a resin composition for moisture-proofing treatment capable of imparting high moisture-proofness (JIS Z-0208) comparable to a polyethylene- laminated paper, having high separability of the resin layer from paper in regeneration, exhibiting good blocking resistance and antislippery property and resistant to the falling off of wax.
The objective resin composition for moisture-proofing treatment contains (1) a synthetic resin emulsion or a synthetic rubber latex containing 1-40 pts.wt. of a monomer containing acid group, (2) a paraffin wax having a melting point of 45-70°C and (3) aluminum hydroxide having an average particle diameter of 1-50 μm. The amount of the paraffin wax (2) is 0.3-150 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. (solid basis) of the synthetic resin emulsion or the synthetic rubber latex (1). The invention also relates to a moisture-proofing material composed of the composition.
