To improve the gas barrier properties of a carbon monoxide-ethylene copolymer, provide a carbon monoxide-ethylene copolymer having both melt moldability and gas barrier properties, and provide a laminate having good gas barrier properties.

A resin compsn. is provided which comprises a polyketone, i.e., a carbon monoxide-ethylene copolymer, and an oxidation catalyst. A polyketone obtd. by copolymerizing 0.5-7 wt.% (based on the polyketone) 3C or higher α-olefin is esp. useful. In addition to a polyketone, the compsn. may further contain other thermoplastic resins, a polyolefin or an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer being esp. pref. The compsn. is useful for an oxygen-barrier wrapping material and is esp. useful when used for producing a multilayer laminate comprising thermoplastic resin layers by coextrusion or coinjection molding.
