Title:
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC BASE AND COLORANT FOR THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002049127
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve the problem that in a layer of a conventional resin composition for photographic base, white pigments such as titanium oxide and talk imparting reflectance and hiding power to the layer and ultramarine for making the layer appear white visually are contained, and on the layer of the resin composition for photographic base where the ultramarine is contained, agglutinate is liable to be formed exerting an adverse influence on the outward appearance of the base owing to the presence of the ultramarine and that desensitization of emulsion and fog are caused near the agglutinate when producing a photographic paper obtained by coating the base with a layer of photographic silver halide emulsion.

The blue colorant is provided consisting essentially of 100 pts.wt. ultramarine having a spectral reflectance peak at 440-460 nm and the same reflectance as the peak at 720-750 nm and 10-5,000 pts.wt. olefin oxide wax.
