Abstract:

To provide a novel resin composition that is suitable for laser welding applications.

The resin composition suitable for laser welding applications comprising a resin and a laser beam transmitting colorant is provided. The resin composition suitable for laser welding applications has a transmission rate ratio (Tblack resin for laser transmission/Tnatural resin) of 0.5-1.2 wherein the laser transmission rate containing a laser beam transmitting black colorant for laser beams with wavelength at 940 nm is Tblack resin for laser transmission and the laser transmission rate of the resin itself for laser beams with wavelength at 940 nm is Tnatural resin. The laser beam transmitting black colorant comprises an anthraquinone dye or a monoazo complex dye.
