Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in heat resistance, molded product surface appearance, dimensional stability and vibration weldability by including glass fibers and a matrix resin comprising polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a matrix resin comprising (i) 20-100wt.% of polyphenylene sulfide resin having an ash content of ≤0.4wt.% and a heat weight reduction of ≤0.4wt.% on a thermal treatment at 350°C in air for 1hr and (ii) 80-0wt.% of a nylon resin such as nylon 66, nylon 6 or a copolymerized nylon resin containing hexamethylene terephthalamide units and (B) 10-150 pts.wt. of glass fibers, and is useful for molding the composition by an injection molding method, an extrusion molding method or a blow molding method and subsequently welding the obtained molded product by a vibration welding method, etc.
