Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce a coating resin which is excellent in dispersibility in water, gives an aq. high-concn. dispersion excellent in storage stability, and forms a coating film excellent in throwing property corrosion resistance, surface smoothness, etc., by reacting a specific epoxy resin with two specific amino compds. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy resin having at least two epoxy-contg. groups of the formula (wherein m is 2-4)(e.g. EHPE3150, a product of Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd.) is reacted with an amino compd. having an OH group, a secondary amino group, and an amide group in the molecule (e.g. one obtd. by reacting stearic acid with hydroxyethylaminoethylamine) and an amino compd. having a primary OH group and a primary or secondary amino group in the molecule (e.g. diethanolamine).
