To provide a resin composition with low refractive index, which has no birefringence and is excellent in transparency and stability, and also to provide an optical molded product prepared by molding the above resin composition.

The resin composition with low refractive index is prepared by dispersing in a transparent resin an inorganic-organic composite material obtained by having an inorganic laminar compound supported with an organic low molecular compound. The above inorganic-organic composite material and the above transparent resin exhibit each an orientation birefringence with a sign opposite to each other. The optical molded product is prepared by molding the above resin composition.
