Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a resin composition exhibiting excellent chemical resistance, durability and adhesivity and useful for paint, etc., by compounding an acrylic resin with an acrylic resin containing hydrolyzable silyl group wherein each resin has respective specific solubility parameter and contact angle with water.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition is composed of (A) the 1st acrylic resin and (B) the 2nd acrylic resin containing hydrolyzable silyl group. The solubility parameter SP1 of the 1st acrylic resin and the parameter SP2 of the 2nd resin satisfy the formula SP1-SP2=0.1 to 1.1 and the contact angle θ1 of the 1st acrylic resin with water and the angle θ2 of the 2nd resin satisfy the formula θ1>θ2. The compounding weight ratio of A/B is preferably 10/90 to 90/10 in terms of solid.
