Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition having low birefringence and excellent transparency and flowability by mixing a polar-group-containing thermoplastic norbornene resin with a normally solid hydrocarbon resin.
SOLUTION: This composition comprises 100 pts.wt. polar-group-containing thermoplastic norbornene resin being a ring opening polymer of a specified monomer represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each a 1-10C hydrocarbon group; and (m) ≥0), a ring opening polymer of the specified monomer with a comonomer or a hydrogenated product thereof and 0.01-50 pts.wt. normally solid hydrocarbon resin having a weight-average molecular weight (in terms of the polystyrene) of 2×104 or below.
