PURPOSE: To obtain a resin for ink jet recording solution not causing nozzle clogging for a long period of time, maintaining excellent delivery stability, containing a fixed amount of a specific copolymer soluble in a highly insulating hydrocarbon medium and a fixed amount of a polymer insoluble in the medium in the highly insulating hydrocarbon medium.
CONSTITUTION: A highly insulating hydrocarbon medium is incorporated with (A) a copolymer soluble in the highly insulating hydrocarbon medium, comprising (i) 95-20 pts.wt. monomer shown by formula I (Y is COOR, etc.), (ii) 0-70 pts.wt. monomer shown by formula II (R2 is 3-8C cycloalkyl, etc.) and (iii) 0.5-30 pts.wt. monomer such as N-vinyl-heterocyclic ketone-based monomer or hydroxyl(meth) acrylate monomer and (B) 0-400 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the soluble copolymer of a polymer insoluble in the highly insulating hydrocarbon medium to give the objective resin having excellent printing characteristics such as fixing properties, printing concentration, printing qualities and light transmittance of OHP.
