PURPOSE: To prevent fluctuation in a resistance value with the passage of time by using a resistor device provided with the following: a thick-film resistor which has exposed an electrically conductive material on a surface part of a mixture of electrically conductive material and glass; and an electrode which has been applied to the thick-film resistor to be connected to the electrically conductive material.
CONSTITUTION: A thick-film resistor paste is printed on an alumina ceramic substrate 5; it is baked to form a resistor 61. An active paste is printed and baked to form a porous active layer. A resist is formed by using a photolithographic method. A glass on the surface of the thick-film resistor 61 is etched by using a mixed aqueous solution of hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid; RuO2 particles 11 are exposed. This assembly is immersed in a chemical plating liquid; a plated part is precipitated in an opening part of the resist and is used as a thin-film conductor. It is possible to obtain a structure where the thin-film conductor of an electrode 8 is applied to the thick-film resistor 61 and the electrode 8 is connected to the RuO2 particles 11 of an electrically conductive material.
