Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the switching loss of a resonant inverter device, when collective commutation is made by using a capacitor for resonance and a reactor for resonance.
SOLUTION: Whether or not the loaded condition of a phase to be switched is a power running state or regenerative state is detected by means of a loaded condition detecting circuit 18, and when the phase is in the power running state, a resonant current is generated by means of a capacitor 6 for resonance and a reactor 7 for resonance. When a voltage VPN across upper and lower arms becomes negative thereafter, a main switching element to be tuned off is turned off. When the phase is in the regenerative condition, the phase to be switched is switched by short-circuiting the upper and lower arms in another phase, which is a power running state to each other and thereafter the phase which is in the power running state is returned to the original state.
