Abstract:

PURPOSE: To circulate data Which is not hierarchically organized and is weak against concentrated processing and dead lock by circulating a token, which permits preparation of logical routes, from node to node in the whole of a network.

CONSTITUTION: For example, the network has an architecture consisting of 5 nodes N1 to N5 connected by busses Di,j. Idle/busy states of all links are stored in respective nodes N1 to N5. By the permission token circulated from node to node, nodes N1 to N5 receive the token to reserve links required by the token based on the busy tables of links for the purpose at preparing for transmission. Thereafter, each of nodes N1 to N5 transmit these reservations to another node and releases the token for the next node.
