Control in which a gas cutoff valve interrupted by operating a return operation member 2b by driving a motor 2a-1 in response to valve- opening requirement is returned to a valve-open state is conducted in the return- operation member controller. A control means 12a for controlling the driving of the motor 2a-1 in response to the valve-opening requirement, and the first detecting means LS1 for detecting reaching to a position as the valve-open state of the return operation member 2b, are provided at that time, and the control means 12a controls the motor 2a-1 so as to be driven in forward rotation until reaching to the position as the valve-open state of the return operation member 2b is detected by the first detecting means LS.
