Title:
REUSABLE TRANSFER MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005173232
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a regenerable recording medium and a method for regenerating a medium, by which toner can be removed easily, without using chemicals such as a solvent, and the medium can be used repeatedly.

In a transfer material which can erase the toner, the surface where the toner is to be transferred is covered with a thin film, and a part of the thin film is adhered to a substrate, while other part can be released and adhered. That is, by preparing a material into a thin film, on which a recording material such as the toner is transferred, the degrees of freedom of the transfer material are increased, and the recording material such as a toner can be easily scraped off. However, a base material is necessary, in order to keep carrying property in a normal electrophotographic apparatus. Since the thin film partly adheres to the base material, the film remains and can be used repeatedly, and thereby the thin film itself is prevented from removal. This method for removing is advantageous, because no environmentally hazardous substance, such as a solvent is used, the characteristics of the recording material are utilized, and there will be no wasted material in the recording material.
