PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method that can remove a white portion for reflection formed on a light guide plate used for a liquid crystal display to have the light guide plate reused for another liquid crystal display.SOLUTION: A reuse enabling device for a light guide for a liquid crystal display comprises: a processing liquid creation mechanism 20 that creates, concentrated sulfuric acid, a processing liquid containing peroxymonosulfuric acid; and a processing liquid supply mechanism 45 that provides the processing liquid created by the processing liquid creation mechanism to a white portion for reflection formed on a glass-made light guide plate used for a backlight of a liquid crystal display; the reuse enabling device for a light guide for a liquid crystal display removes the white portion formed on the light guide plate with the processing liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
