Title:
REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL AND MAGNETIC CARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05139080
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive reversible thermal recording material which has high contrast and can be clearly seen by disposing an inorganic dielectric film having high refractive index between a transparent base material and an air layer or between a transparent base material and a reversible thermal recording layer.

CONSTITUTION: A reversible thermal recording layer 2 is provided on one of the surfaces of a transparent base material 1 and an over coat layer 3 is provided on the layer 2 to protect it. On the other hand, an inorganic dielectric film 4 is provided on the other surface of the material 1 and a colored base material 7 is provided on the film 4 through an air layer 6 formed by an adhesive layer 5 on the periphery of the layer 4. The layer 4 may be provided on the side of the layer 2. In the reversible thermal recording material thus prepared, contrast can be improved without increasing the thickness of recording layer, with the result that visible information recorded can be easily seen and said recording material is inexpensive and can be used as a magnetic card.
