Title:
REVERSIBLE THERMAL RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2701613
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a reversible thermal recording medium reversibly enabling recording and erasing by heating and having improved repeating recording characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: The transparent particles of a recording layer 3 containing crystalline organic molecules, a transparent matrix polymer and the transparent particles on a substrate 1 have size close to the thickness of the recording layer 3 and high strength and are comprised in the recording layer 3 in 10% or less. That is, a solution, in which hydroxystearic acid, a phenol group antioxidant, vinyl chloride, a vinyl acetate copolymer and glass beads having mean particle size of 15μm are mixed, is formed onto the high-molecular sheet substrate 1, on which an aluminum deposit layer 2 is formed, in 13μm as the recording layer 3, and a surface coating layer 5 is shaped. The transparent-made region of the recording medium is heated at approximately 70-90°C, writing is conducted by a thermal heat at 100°C and erasing is enabled at 80°C, and the repeating recording of one thousand two hundred rimes is enabled.
