Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rib connector for an umbrella that can be kept in a stable opening condition, has less trouble, is hardly damaged and is convenient for use, and is not reversely tensible.
CONSTITUTION: A braking pulley 3 that is movable with a lower pulley 24 is installed, at least a pair of pliable projections 31 is formed in the peripheric wall of the braking pulley 3 that press-contacts with the outer surface of the umbrella axle while it is pressed and bent from exterior to interior. When the lower pulley 3 is pushed to the top position and then the lower pulley is further pushed up for opening the umbrella, the pliable projections 31 are pressed and bent to the interior by the lower pulley, so inside of the projections is pressed to contact with the peripheric surface of the umbrella axle 20 to tightly oppress the umbrella axle. The umbrella is kept in a stable opening condition by keeping a lower pulley and the braking pulley 3 in a certain positions.
