Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel carriers for ribonucleic acid separation and purification as well as uses thereof, by overcoming the problems that conventional nucleic acid separation carriers could not solve, such as uses of nucleic acid denaturing reagents including chaotropic agents, heat resistance, organic solvent resistance, and mechanical strength of carriers, regeneration by calcination of carriers, and high cost surface ligands such as oligo dT.SOLUTION: Aminated mesoporous silica particles which adsorb and separate ribonucleic acid in a large amount are obtained by controlling the amount of amino groups contained in aminated mesoporous silica particles having mesopores capable of selectively adsorbing ribonucleic acid, particularly silica particles, the pore diameters of the silica particles, and their particle sizes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
