PURPOSE: To enhance washing effect while simplifying the structure of the connection part of a water supply pipe by increasing the flow velocity of the water emitted from a water emitting orifice without making the water pressure in the water supply pipe as high as possible.
CONSTITUTION: In a rice washing apparatus wherein the washing water supplied from a water supply pipe 12 is emitted from the water emitting orifice 61 of a rice washing tank 2 to wash rice in the rice washing tank 2 under stirring, air is mixed with the washing water in an air supply chamber 62 provided on this side of the water emitting orifice 61 and air mixed water is emitted into the rice washing tank 2 from the water emitting orifice 61 having a diameter smaller than that of the water supply pipe 12 to increase the flow velocity of emitted water and rice is stirred and washed by air mixed water increased in flow velocity.
