PURPOSE: To obtain the subject mower having improved mowing workability at the root of a tree, etc., and steering operability by providing freely steerable front wheels and protruding a mower toward the front part of the machine body beyond the front end of the steering post of the driver's seat.

CONSTITUTION: Machine body frames 1, 1 are provided with a pair of right and left rear wheels 3, 3 and a pair of freely steerable right and left front wheels 2, 2 and an engine 5 is mounted under a driver's seat 6 placed at the rear part of the machine body. A mower 7 is placed between the front and the rear wheels 2, 3 in a state to protrude toward the front part of the machine body beyond the front end of the steering post 13 of the driver's seat 6. The lawn mowing work can be carried out by introducing the mower 7 under the leaf and stalks of a tree and the machine can be driven while simultaneously observing the mowing position and the front side of the machine body.
