To eliminating the lowering of the gear shift feeling of a manual transmission resulting from the characteristics of gear shift cables.
When gear shift cables 12 and 13 transmitting the operation of a gear shift lever 11 to the select arm 38 or the shift arm 40 of the manual transmission are disposed in a curved state, inner cables 15 and 17 are projected from the outer tubes 14 and 16 thereof and a set load in the compressing direction occurs on the inner cables 15 and 17. Since an anisotropy is given to the rigidity of a rubber bush 36 for connecting one end parts of the inner and outer cables 15 and 17 to a select arm or a shift arm 40 so that the push sides of the inner cables 15 and 17 are lowered than the pull sides thereof. Thus, the lowering of the gear shift feeling can be eliminated by offsetting the set load of the inner cables 15 and 17 in the compressing direction with a difference between the rigidities of the rubber bush 36 in the compressing and tensing directions.
