Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a plurality of ring grooves on a round bar inexpensively and accurately. SOLUTION: A round bar 23 is fixed by a chuck mechanism 15 concentrically with a rotary shaft part 13 of a rotating grip tool 10 at another end of the grip part 10. A plurality of supporting tools 22 are mounted/fixed on/by a round bar supporting part 20, which is prepared at a position obtained by extending the centerline of the grip tool 10 in the longitudinal direction and at a prescribed interval. The extended round bar 23 is supported by insertion grooves of the supporting tool 22. By pressing a plurality of cutting tools 32, which are installed in a cutting tool installing part 30, against the round bar 23, which is rotated while it is supported by the supporting tool 22, a plurality of ring grooves are formed simultaneously at prescribed positions on the round bar 23. At this time, since the round bar 23 is pressed by the cutting tools 32, there will be neither run-out of the round bar 23 caused by their rotation not coming-off of the round bar 23 out of the insertion groove, thereby insuring accurate formation of the ring grooves. In addition, since the supporting tools 22 are of simple structure, a ring groove machining device utilizing this supporting tool 22 can be manufactured inexpensively.
