This ring spinning machine has a device for interrupting the rotation of spindles. The device is so constituted that one or more sensors 11 are provided for detecting the rotary motion of a drive mechanism for the spindles 3 and signal(s) from the sensor(s) 11 are given to a judgment/control unit 17, which, in turn, monitors these spindles about their rotary motions on receiving sensor signals, in such a state that one or many given number or all of the spindles is (are) under a halt, and if the rotary motion of such spindle(s) is detected, actuates this device 19 to interrupt the rotation of the spindle(s).
