To prepare a plan view of a survey field easily by selecting and displaying a road outline icon on a road outline display window, and displaying a pair of road pictures taken at different angles and distances on a picture display window respectively.
An icon is selected from a plurality of road outline icons 21-26 simplifying the characteristic of road shape, and displayed on a road outline display window 27 as well as the road end point of a prescribed position on the structure road end of the road outline. The road end point is checked on whether it is specified as a survey object or not and noticed, and respective corresponding points to a pair of pictures which show the road of the survey field displayed on the picture display windows 28, 29 from different angles and distances are specified with the road end point specified. When the road end point specified based on the information is surveyed, the surveyed condition is noticed by color coding and flashing. It is thus possible to display the automatically-illustrated road structure on a drawing window 32 corresponding to the selected road outlines and the number of surveyed end points.
