PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an amount of data transmitted during an acquisition of road information by one embodiment.SOLUTION: A road information acquisition system according to an embodiment includes an on-vehicle unit installed on a vehicle and a center device that receives information on traveling from the on-vehicle unit. The center device, on the basis of information on a travel, identifies an on-vehicle unit installed on one or a plurality of vehicles that are scheduled to travel at a point to which the road information is to be acquired. The center device determines an on-vehicle unit to be requested to require an acquisition of road information at a point among the on-vehicle devices installed on the specified one or a plurality of vehicles.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
