To enhance the convenience in handling, and eliminate the sense of incompatibility when a road laying member is used for the side channel of a sidewalk or the like by sticking tiles onto a water permeable board, and by arranging empty joints of the joint parts between tiles, so that water can be permeated through the joint parts and the permeable board.
A side channel cover 1 is made up of a water permiable board 3 to be fitted to a frame body 2, and tiles 5 that have been stuck onto the permiable board 3 with joint intervals 4. The permiable board 3 is made up in such a way that slits 6 are formed to the parts corresponding to the joint intervals 4 of the tile 5, and that water can be permiable through both the joint intervals 4 of the tiles 5 and the slits 6 of the permiable board 3. The side channel cover 1 is constructed by placing the frame body 2 on the work executing part, and then by placing on the frame body 2 a permeable board 3 on which tiles 5 have been stuck with a specified joint intervals 4. Thus, the road laying member can be made relatively thinner in thickness and lightweight, so that the convenience in handling can be enhanced, and a nice permeable pavement surface can be formed.
