Abstract:
PURPOSE: To absorb the difference of characteristics of a land and a groove and to increase the accuracy of a servo by making the parameter of a focusing or a tracking controller different at the time of tracking the land and the groove in an optical information recording/reproducing device using a land/groove recording disk.
CONSTITUTION: This device performs the automatic adjustment of a servo system at the time of land tracking and at the time of groove tracking, respectively. Parameters for automatic adjustment are an AF offset 22, an out-of-AF detection level, an AT offset 32, an out-of-AT detection level, an AF open-loop gain and an AT open-loop gain. Consequently, at the time of following up an information track in a land or a groove, automatic adjustment is performed by making a focusing or a tracking servo system different while detecting the target, respectively, and accuracies of the focusing servo and the tracking servo are improved.
