Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a road surface friction coefficient during a travel regardless of braking.SOLUTION: A load change amount detection part 28A detects a change amount of a load exerted to a wheel of a vehicle 10 in travel. An integral value detection part 28B detects an integral value of the change amount of the load exerted to the wheel of the vehicle 10 in travel. A peak value detection part 28C detects a peak value of the integral value detected by the integral value detection part 28B. A first estimation part 28D estimates, as a first road-surface friction coefficient, a road surface friction coefficient of a road surface 2 the vehicle 10 travels on from the peak value detected while the vehicle 10 travels, on the basis of a pre-obtained correlation between a peak value and the road surface friction coefficient of the road surface 2 the vehicle 10 travels on.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
