To provide a road traffic system for carrying out automatically service of carbon offset, without requiring a troublesome application procedure or the like, using information obtained from an on-vehicle device mounted on a vehicle traveling on a road.
The present invention discloses the road traffic system having a mechanism for carrying out automatically the service of the carbon offset. A center system 10 for managing an ETC system executes collection reception processing of an ETC toll of the traveling vehicle, and executes automatically carbon offset authentication processing of the vehicle. The center system 10 carries out a series of processing from calculation of a carbon offset point in response to a carbon emission amount in accompaniment to the travel of the vehicle, up to a request of issuing a certificate by authentication from a carbon offset authentication institution, to be provided to a user.
