To provide a road widening structure capable of shortening a construction term and achieving high strength.

This road widening structure is constituted by providing a high level foundation body in a road shoulder part on a valley side of an existing road, providing a low level foundation body in a slope part in contact with the road shoulder part along the existing road, and erecting a plurality of roadbed members for widening road composed of L-shaped block by inverting them in the reverse L-shape, and arranging them along the existing road. A locking rib formed in a tip edge part of a lower face of a horizontal board part of the L-shaped block is engaged with a fastening rib formed in an outer edge part of an upper face of the high level foundation body to support the horizontal board part of the L-shaped block on the high level foundation body and support a lower end of a vertical board part of the L-shaped block on the low level foundation body. A space surrounded by the L-shaped block and the slope part is filled with a stuffing filler to support load to be applied on a roadbed part for widening road by the slope part.
