To provide a roaming person monitoring device capable of reducing burdens of caregivers and facility tenants by performing monitoring for detecting a facility tenant's going-out and reporting it to a monitoring person without needing regularly carrying of a transmitter by a management object.
A hot wire sensor (12) and an external light receiver (11) are set in a facility entrance. When a facility staff member operates a security release remote control (10), when going out or coming in, toward the external light receiver (11), whereby transmission of signal from a receiving part (14) in an interlocking device (13) to a control part (15) is interrupted for an optional set time, whereby alarm can be stopped for the meanwhile. When a facility tenant goes out by roaming or a suspicious individual enters the facility, the hot wire sensor (12) detects it, a signal is transmitted from the receiving part (14) in the interlocking device (13) to the control part (15) and further to alarm equipment such as a nurse call master machine, whereby it can be reported to the caregiver by a means such as sound, display or image.
