To provide a robot hand device which can lessen shock of a workpiece received at the time of laying the workpiece at a workpiece storage site and has a simple electrical structure.
The robot hand device 1 has an arm section 2, a hand section 3, and the workpiece storage site 4, and can switch a mode between a conveyance mode for conveying the workpiece W from a designated site to the workpiece storage site 4 and a mounting mode for releasing the workpiece W and laying the workpiece W on the workpiece storage site 4. The robot hand device 1 comprises an electrical circuit 50 using at least one of the arm section 2, the hand section 3, the workpiece storage site 4, and workpieces W as a conductive route. The electrical circuit 50 becomes conductive in the mounting mode when the workpiece W held by the hand section 3 comes in contact with the workpiece W placed in the workpiece storage site 4, and the hand section 3 releases the workpiece W in response to the conduction of the electrical circuit 50 as a trigger.
