Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration in production efficiency while securing safety when an obstacle such as a person approaches a robot main body.SOLUTION: Distance sensor 4 are attached to a surface of a robot main body 2 and can detect a distance L to an obstacle such as a person positioned in a substantially normal line with respect to the surface. A collision prevention controller 8 sends a command to make the robot main body 2 operate to a robot controller 5 so as to avoid the body from colliding with the obstacle such as a person according to the detected result of the distance L. The collision prevention controller 8 memorizes in memory a plurality of thresholds T1,T2,T3 (T1>T2>T3) for determining how much the obstacle such as a person approaches the robot main body 2. When L≤T1 is satisfied, a command to make the body operate at low speed is sent, when L≤T2 is satisfied, a command to make the body to keep operating while retreating is sent, and when L≤T3 is satisfied, a command to stop the body is sent from the collision prevention controller 8 to the robot controller 5, so that the robot main body 2 operates based on the command.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
