Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match a direction which a display faces to a traveling direction of a robot while the robot travels on an inclined plane.SOLUTION: An acceleration sensor detects a first acceleration speed in the vertical direction parallel to the gravity direction, and a second acceleration speed in the travel direction of a main housing, orthogonal to the gravity direction. A control circuit determines while rotating a main housing and traveling the main housing, an inclination angle of an inclined plane on which the main housing travels, on the basis of an integrated value of the first acceleration speed and an integrated value of the second acceleration speed during a certain period, in the case where a cumulative value of the first acceleration speed exceeds a first threshold value during the certain period, controls a first drive mechanism independent from a second drive mechanism for rotating the main housing around a shaft, and moves the display by rotating the shaft by an angle equivalent to the inclination angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
