Abstract:
To solve the problem that delivery of an article by a robot cannot be carried out unless a receiving person wants to receive the article.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: A person is made to be aware of a robot and want to receive an article by the robot extending and contracting its arms to make hesitant actions. The robot includes means for measuring a distance between the person and the robot, and means for determining whether or not the person is aware of the robot. The probability of success in delivering a delivery article can be increased by causing portions simulating the eyes of the robot to turn to the person and the robot to extend the arms after causing the robot to approach the person while recognizing that the person is aware of the robot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
