Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robotic device provided with eyes on appearance giving a sense of affinity and various sophisticated feeling expression with quiet action.
SOLUTION: White parts of eyes 170L have cavity parts 18c between transparent outer shells 18a and non-transparent inner shells 18b and are arranged adjacently. Pupil parts 17L are created by attracting fluid magnetic body 19 filled in enclosed in the cavity part 18c with magnets 22a having a designated magnetized pattern arranged adjacent to inner surfaces of the inner shells 18b, to the magnetized pattern. The magnets 22a are moved along the inner surfaces of the inner shells 18b to move the pupil parts 17L in accordance with the movement. A plurality of magnets 22b, 22c with different magnetized pattern are provided. The shape of the pupil parts 17L can be replaced to a desired shape by arranging a magnet with desired magnetized pattern adjacent to the inner surface of the inner shell 18b with a magnet replacing means 180.
