To provide a rocking toy which smoothly reproduces rocking of a rocking member.
The rocking toy includes a pair of rocking arm members and a connection means which movably connects the arm members with each other and is disposed so as to transmit turning drive force supplied to one of the arms to the other. At the lower ends of the respective arm members, weights are provided. A branch arm member is provided which is branched from at least one of the arm members and disposed so that the end thereof turns. At the end of the branch arm member, a permanent magnet is provided. An electromagnetic coil which applies and receives magnetic action to and from the permanent magnet is provided. While the electromagnetic coil is not excited, the pair of arm members is at the intermediate position where weight balance is formed with each other. When the electromagnetic coil intermittently and magnetically acts on the permanent magnet, the pair of arm members makes round trip between the intermediate position and an energization position.
