To provide a rocking toy for performing mild operation which reminds a user of a feeling of healing.

The rocking toy 1 includes a trunk part 2 and a head part 3 placed above the trunk part 2. The trunk part 2 has: a head part support member for rotatably supporting the head 3 inside the trunk part with a head part support axis; a drive source; a deceleration mechanism via a pulley; a link mechanism; and a control means. The link mechanism consists of an eccentric cam provided for a final stage of the deceleration mechanism and a link member which is pivotally connected by a link pin fixed to the head part 3 and the eccentric cam, and drives the drive source on the basis of a control signal generated by the control means. A rotary force of the drive source is communicated to the eccentric cam via the deceleration mechanism and the eccentric cam performs circular motion, so that the link pin moves vertically and the head part 3 rocks horizontally with respect to the trunk part 2 around the head part support axis.
