Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the rotation of a moving piece, following the movement of it, even a magnet coupling is used for a rodless cylinder, by providing a guide surface for guiding the movement of the moving piece to a linking plate for linking a pair of end covers to prevent the rotation of the moving piece.
CONSTITUTION: When compressed air is supplied/discharged to/from a port 42 provided on an end plate 3a, a piston 5 is airtightly moved in a cylinder tube 2 to move a moving piece 6 synchronizing with the piston 5 along the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder tube 2 by attracting force between magnet couplings 7a and 7b. At that time, since slide members 28,..., fitted to the four corners of the lower surface of the moving piece 6, are moved while slidingly contacting the guide surface 4a of a linking plate 4, the movement of the moving piece 6 can be smooth and the rotation of it can be surely prevented. Also, since the linking plate 4 is placed on the outer side of the moving piece 6, the moving piece 6 and resultingly the whole rodless cylinder can be miniaturized.
